Michael Garron Hospital fundraiser East End Adventure set to return this fall
East End Adventure, a fundraiser for Michael Garron Hospital, will be back for its second year this fall.
The event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m., beginning and ending at Monarch Park.
East End Adventure is an Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt through East Toronto. Teams will use a digital app that will guide them to local spots to complete challenges and earn points.
After the race, participants are invited to stay at Monarch Park, 115 Felstead Ave., for the awards ceremony and to enjoy a community barbecue, games, and more.
After 2025’s event raised more than $430 000 for the local hospital, organizers said they were inspired to host a second East End Adventure. Last year’s winning team was made up of a group of hospital volunteers called Purple Presents, and the top fundraisers were Crash Cart, a team of Michael Garron emergency room physicians.
“Everyone wins when we support Michael Garron Hospital! For those who love a little friendly competition, prizes will be awarded to the top individual fundraiser, the top fundraising team and the team that raises the most points,” said the FAQ section of the East End Adventure’s fundraising page.
East End Adventure is one of the many fundraising events the hospital puts on to support its needs, including funding for state-of-the-art technology, community-based programs, and innovations to improve patient care.
Michael Garron Hospital (first called Toronto East General Hospital) has been operating for more than 100 years and serves 400,000 people in East Toronto.
The presenting sponsor for East End Adventure is the Dottori-Attanasio family, and community sponsors include Bomb Fitness, Kiwanis Club of East York, Left Field Brewery, and WAG on the Danforth.
