Man, 21, sought in connection with alleged sexual assault in Gerrard and Coxwell Area

Toronto Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection to a sexual assault investigation that took place earlier this year in Toronto’s east end.
According to police, on Saturday, August 8 at approximately 9:10 p.m., officers responded to a call for a sexual assault in the Gerrard Street and Coxwell Avenue area.
Police allege that in May 2026, the victim was with the suspect. The suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the victim, before pointing a firearm at the victim. The victim later realized that the suspect allegedly recorded the sexual assault, police said in a media release.
Devon Plooard, 21, of Toronto is wanted for two counts of sexual assault, pointing a firearm and voyeurism. He is described as five-foot-six with light brown hair and blue eyes.
An image has been released in the hopes that someone will make police aware of his whereabouts.
