Man, 26, wanted in connection with alleged assault in Coxwell and Gerrard area

Toronto Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with an assault investigation that took place last week in Toronto’s east end.
According to police, on Friday, August 7, at approximately 10 p.m., officers responded to a call for an assault in the Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street East area.
Police allege the victim and suspect got into a verbal altercation before the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim. Police said the suspect and victim are known to one another.
Muhammad Yasin, 26, of Toronto, is wanted for two counts of assault, assault – choking, and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
He is described as five-foot-eight to five-foot-ten, with a medium build, short black hair and short black facial hair.
An image has been released of Yasin in the hopes that someone will make police aware of his whereabouts.
