Police have confirmed that Beach resident Murray Abbott, 36, was found dead early on Monday morning.
A jogger saw Abbott’s body in the water just east of the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant at 6:40 a.m. on Monday, May 12.
Police recovered the body, and an autopsy confirmed that it was Abbott’s body by Monday night. Police do not consider Abbott’s death suspicious.
Abbott had been missing since April 25, when he was last heard from in the area of Queen Street East and Leuty Avenue.
