Kingston Road Village Christmas/Holiday Market planned for this December

The first annual Kingston Road Village Christmas/Holiday Market at Kingston Road United Church is currently being planned.
It’s set to take place on Dec. 5 and 6 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature a European-style Christmas market outdoors on the church grounds on the southeast corner of Kingston and Scarborough roads.
There will be plenty to enjoy for visitors to the market, including food from Vienna Fine Foods, Glühwein (mulled wine), hot chocolate, pretzels, Christmas baking, festive decorations, carolling, a doggie photo booth, and a larger-than-life Nativity scene.
Organizers are looking for vendors that will feature a carefully crafted mix of local artisans, craftspeople, food producers, and small businesses.
Vendors should book their spot soon, as space is limited. Those wishing to be vendors must provide their own table, tent, and chairs and be available for both days. Vendor space is $50 per day.

Volunteers and sponsors are also needed to make the market a success. Those who are interested in volunteering or sponsoring are asked to email kruc.info@gmail.com by Aug. 30.
Admission to the market is free, and the hope is that it becomes a neighbourhood tradition at which families can enjoy a cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate, and spend festive time with friends and neighbours as they support local businesses and bring the community together.
