Beach Triangle Street Festival set to take place on Sunday, June 7

The 11th annual Beach Triangle Street Festival is set to take place this Sunday.
The Beach Triangle is bordered by Kingston Road, Woodbine Avenue, and Queen Street East. The Sunday, June 7, Street Festival goes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dixon Avenue between Rainsford and Brookmount roads.
The festival is presented by The Barrett Inward Group and the Beach Triangle Residents Association (BTRA). Making this Sunday’s festival extra special is that this year is the 40th anniversary of the BTRA.
“Forty years is a major milestone. The BTRA has been helping the Beach Triangle neighbourhood to stay connected for 40 years and this connectedness is one of the many things that makes the neighbourhood such a special place,” said Jeff Levitt, Vice-President, BTRA.
The Street Festival was created as a way to give back to the community while bringing together the area’s residents, local small business owners, Barrett Inward Group clients as well as the BTRA.
“For me, Street Fest is a way to give back to a community that has given so much to me,” said Laura Inward, Broker, Barrett Inward Group. “It is where I have raised my kids, it is the roots of my business and it is where I have enjoyed countless great moments with neighbours.”
Sunday’s Beach Triangle Street Festival will feature special Disney character appearances, free bike tune ups – provided by 32 Spokes, mini massages provided by Brookfkield Massage, free burgers, hot dogs and freezies provided by the BTRA, a bouncy castle and other treats and activities for all to enjoy.
New this year will be The Spiritual Circle who will be on hand to read Oracle cards. Festival-goers can also get a personalized live caricature drawing – courtesy of the Barrett Inward Group.
