Deja Views: Remembering the Shell station on Queen Street East in the Beach

This archival photo shows the intersection of Glen Manor Drive and Queen Street East in 1967.

By DAVID VAN DYKE

This archival photograph above was taken in 1967. A woman is about to board a TTC streetcar at the stop by Ivan Forrest Gardens at Queen Street East and Glen Manor Drive.

The stop remains!

The Shell gas station selling fuel for 10 cents a litre has long since departed.
