Toronto Food Truck Festival set for Woodbine Park this August long weekend

The Toronto Food Truck Festival returns to Woodbine Park in the Beach over this upcoming August long weekend.

The festival takes place from Friday, July 31, through to Monday, Aug. 3, as Toronto celebrates the Simcoe Day long weekend.

There will be a variety of live music performances throughout the event, food from between 30 to 50 of the top food trucks in the province, activities for children, and even a chance for those attending to take part in live-eating challenges. Vegetarian, halal, vegan, and gluten-free food trucks will be among the participating vendors at the festival.

The festival is licenced for alcohol service to those who are of legal age.

Admission to the festival is free. Hours are 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on July 31; noon to 10 p.m. on both Aug. 1 and 2; and from noon to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 3.

Along with the food trucks, entertainment is also planned for all four days of the festival.

Slated to perform on Friday, July 31, are Sister Boombox at 5:30 p.m.; and From The Hip at 8 p.m.

On stage Saturday, Aug. 1, will be DJ Sidd Sikk at noon; Crooked Zebras at 5 p.m.; and Smile at 8 p.m.

Entertainment on Sunday, Aug. 2, will be DJ Cyrus at noon; Sugar at 5 p.m.; and Red Astro Band at 8 p.m.

The final day of the festival on Monday, Aug. 3, will feature performances by Till Paradise at noon; Canadiana Band at 3:30 p.m.; and Dramazoid at 6 p.m.
