Police seek suspect in alleged break-in last month in the Greenwood and Gerrard area
Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged break-in in the Gerrard Street East and Greenwood Avenue area last month.
According to police, on Tuesday, July 14, at approximately 2:19 a.m., man gained entry into a store in the area by allegedly using a brick to smash open the glass door. The man then allegedly stole money and bottles of wine from the store, said police.
The suspect is described as between 30 and 35 years old with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with white writing saying “CASH,” blue shorts, black New Balance running shoes, a light-coloured baseball hat and was carrying a green reusable grocery bag.
Police have released an image in the hopes of someone identifying the suspect.
