Metrolinx to host community update meeting on Gerrard and Carlaw plans this Wednesday

East Toronto residents are invited to a community meeting hosted by Metrolinx this week to learn more about upcoming construction work at the Ontario Line’s Gerrard Station and provide feedback on the proposed Gerrard-Carlaw Dog Off-Leash Area (DOLA).
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 8, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Metropolitan Community Church of Toronto (115 Simpson Ave.).
The first half-hour will focus on updates about the construction of the elevated Gerrard Station, including responses to previous community feedback and concerns.
Gerrard Station, at Carlaw Avenue and Gerrard Street East, will be one of the stops on the 15-kliometre Ontario Line subway between Don Mills and Eglinton and Exhibition Place. The 15-stop subway line is being built by Metrolinx, Ontario’s transit agency, and is expected to be completed by
During the second half of the meeting, Metrolinx will present information on the proposed DOLA near Gerrard Station before opening the floor for discussion and public comments.
