Man, 46, charged in connection with alleged stabbing near Danforth and Victoria Park avenues

A Toronto man is facing charges in connection to an alleged assault that took place last weekend in the East Toronto area.

According to police, officers responded to a call for a reported stabbing on Saturday, June 13, in the Danforth and Victoria Park avenues area at approximately 7:40 p.m.

Police said a man and the victim got into an argument. A man then allegedly assaulted the victim with a weapon, said police.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect was located and apprehended soon after, said police.

In a news release on the evening of Wednesday, June 17, police said Jason Passmore, 46, of Toronto has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
