Annual Toronto Beaches Ribfest opens this Friday at Woodbine Park

The annualToronto Beaches Ribfest is slated for the weekend of June 19 to 21 at Woodbine Park.

The ribfest, part of the Northern Heat Rib Series, will start on Friday, June 19, and continue through the weekend on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21.

Woodbine Park is located at 1695 Queen St. E.

Hours will be 4 to 10 p.m. on June 19; noon to 10 p.m. on June 20; and noon to 7 p.m. on June 21.

A $2 admission donation will go to support Toronto Beaches Lions Club programs in the East Toronto community.

Along with ribs and other foods from numerous prestigious vendors, the festival will also feature a Beer Market along with a variety of wine, cooler, and spirits options for those of legal drinking age.

There is entertainment scheduled for each day of the Ribfest.

On Friday, performers are Street Survivors (a tribute to Lynyrd Skynrd) from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and Crazy Babies (Rod Clarke’s tribute to Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath) from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Saturday’s entertainment sees the Pink Leather Jackets from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; followed by Wicked Truth from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and then Led by Zeppelin (a tribute to Led Zeppelin) from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

On Sunday, performers will be Otis Wonder and The Hustle from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; and Stoned and Rolling (a tribute to The Rolling Stones) from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
