Community Environment Day set for Dieppe Park in East York today

Local residents are invited to take part in a Community Environment Day today at Dieppe Park in East York.
Hosted by Toronto-Danforth Councillor Paula Fletcher, the event runs rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23. Dieppe Park is located at 455 Cosburn Ave.
Residents will be able to pick up free loose compost, kitchen containers for organics will be available for purchase, and there will be a free paper shredding service.
Also, residents can drop off electronic and household hazardous waste for recycling or proper disposal. Household items can also be donated for reuse by others at Saturday’s event.
Those wishing to pick up the free compost need to bring their own containers and a shovel as the compost will not be bagged. The compost will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The free paper shredding service will see each household limited to two bags of paper.
