Man sought in connection with police investigation into alleged criminal harassment

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged criminal harassment incident earlier this week in East Toronto.

According to police, a 29-year-old woman was walking in the Queen St East and Broadview Avenue area on Monday, May 18, when a man allegedly strarted following her on the sidewalk. Police alleged the man followed the woman as she tried to leave the area.

The woman was able to flee the area, said police.

According to a Toronto police news release on the afternoon of Friday, May 22, the man is wanted in connection with an ongoing criminal harassment investigation and is known to frequent the Danforth and Pape avenues area.

The man is described as 50 years old, five-feet, eight-inches to five-feet, nine-inches tall, with a medium build, dark complexion and salt/pepper beard.

An image has been released by police in the hopes that someone can identify the man. In today’s news release, police said that if spotted the man should not be approached and 9-1-1 should be called immediately.

Toronto police are looking to identify this man in connection with an investigation into alleged criminal harassment.
