Police investigating damage to stained glass window at Beach Hebrew Institute
Toronto police are investigating after damage to a stained glass window at the Beach Hebrew Institute was discovered yesterday afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to a suspicious incident call at the Beach Hebrew Institute in the Kenilworth Avenue and Queen Street East area on the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 12.
Construction workers noticed damage to one of the stained glass windows that had a hole in it.
Officers from 55 Division and Forensic Identification Services are currently investigating to determine the source of the damage, and the Hate Crime Unit has been notified.
In a news release on Sept. 12, police said local residents can expect an increased police presence in the area.
