Fighting City Hall, or worse – making a case to the Ontario Municipal Board, is a very expensive business. So when the neighbours on Glen Davis Crescent banded together to stop a new condominium development being built on Kingston Road, they started to think about ways to raise the money it would cost. Over the past year or so The Friends of Glen Davis Ravine have held a number of fundraising events.
Now, just in time for Christmas, the group has begun to think out of the…box, or rather out of their clothes. For a donation to the cause ($20 suggested) you can have a very tasteful calendar featuring the (au) natural beauties of Glen Davis Ravine.
You can purchase the calendar locally at Threads Lifestyle, Grinder Coffee, and Beachcomber Hair, and online at www.friendsofglendavisravine.ca. A calender release party will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at the Naval Club on Gerrard Street East.
