Olympian Heather Moyse to be Easter Parade’s Grand Marshal

Heather Moyse, who captured a gold medal in the women’s Olympic bobsled event at the 2010 Vancouver Games, will be the Grand Marshal for this year’s Easter Parade.
Moyse is an active volunteer for the Commonwealth Games Canada and has a special interest in international development through sport.

Moyse will join hundreds of local participants for this enjoyable Beach tradition.
This year, as always, the parade is held on Easter Sunday, April 24. The parade starts at 2 p.m. and runs approximately two hours.

The route begins at Neville Park and goes along Queen Street to Woodbine.
While the parade is fun for families to watch, it is also great to be a part of. If you, your business, your team or association want to join in the excitement you can sign up online at www.beacheslions.com.

The Lions are also looking for volunteers to help make the parade run smoothly. Contact Keith Begley at 416-690-2614 or 647-224-2614 to sign up. Students can earn community service hours.
