The annual East York Canada Day parade along Cosburn Avenue took place on Wednesday, July 1.
The parade is part of the annual East York Canada Day Festival which marked its 70th anniversary on Wednesday while also celebrating Canada’s 159th birthday.
Run by volunteers, the festival is one of Toronto’s longest running Canada Day events and it brought community members together for the parade in the morning, a festival in the afternoon and evening at Stan Wadlow Park and fireworks at night.
The parade featured more than 35 community groups and organizations taking part, and was greeted by enthusiastic crowds along the route.
