Police seek man in connection with local break-ins

Toronto police are requesting the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in connection to a series of alleged break-ins in the city.
Between March 5 and April 6, police said they responded to four break-and-enter calls throughout Toronto.
It is alleged that on Thursday, March 5, at approximately 8:45 p.m., a man entered an apartment building in the Queen Street East and Woodbine Avenue area. Once inside, he allegedly entered the parking garage where multiple items were stolen from parking spots, before he fled the area.
In another incident, police alleged that on Saturday, March 14, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a man entered an apartment building in the Dundas Street West and Annette Street area where he unsuccessfully attempted to access a storage locker. The suspect then allegedly entered a motor vehicle, stole several items, and fled.
Police also alleged that on Monday, March 16, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a man entered an apartment building in the Lakeshore Road East and Dixie Road area. Investigators said the suspect allegedly opened multiple storage lockers in the basement before stealing a bicycle and fleeing.
A fourth incident allegedly took place on Sunday, April 5, at approximately 2:30 a.m., in the Cedarvale and Danforth avenues area. Police said a man entered the building’s parking garage, allegedly broke into a motor vehicle and stole multiple items, before he fled the scene.
Sean Gummerson, 45, of Toronto, is wanted on eight counts of breaching probation, four counts of theft under $5000, seven counts of breaking and entering, two counts of possession of break in instruments, one count of mischief under $5000, one count of operation while prohibited and one count of failure to attend court.
He is described as six-feet, two-inches tall with a medium build, with blonde hair, brown eyes and clean shaven. An image has been released in the hopes that someone can make the police aware of his whereabouts.
