Scarborough Men’s Shed information meeting slated for April 17 at Warden Hilltop Community Centre

Woodworking, and other skills, are among the activities and information available at the Scarborough Men’s Shed.

Local men age 55 and older are invited to learn more about the Scarborough Men’s Shed at a meeting set for the afternoon of Thursday, April 17.

The meeting will take place at the Warden Hilltop Community Centre, 25 Mendelssohn St., in the Warden and St. Clair avenues area from 1 to 3 p.m.

The Scarborough Men’s Shed is part of a global movement to bring older men together in a spirit of camaraderie.

It is a “friendly, welcoming place where men can connect, share skills, and contribute to the community” by using a number of their skills.

Members can use and learn skills such as woodworking, making minor repairs, or just take part for a chat over coffee.

The Scarborough Men’s Shed is a “place to belong, learn, and build together.”
