Beaches Easter Parade celebrates 60th anniversary this Sunday

The Toronto Beaches Lions Club Beaches Easter Parade takes place this Sunday, April 5.

Celebrating its 60th year, the parade starts at Queen Street East and Victoria Park Avenue at 2 p.m., travels west along Queen Street East, and ends at Kew Beach Avenue on Woodbine Avenue.

A Beach tradition since 1967, the parade has been organized by the Lions Club since 1973.

Expect road closures on Munro Park Avenue to Fallingbrook Road (partial, 10 a.m. to noon); Woodbine Avenue to Fallingbrook Road (full, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.); Woodbine Avenue from Queen to Lake Shore and Lake Shore Boulevard East from Coxwell to Woodbine (full, 2 to 4:30 p.m.).

Along with Sunday’s parade, a Good Friday Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt is planned for April 3.
