Multiplex consultation meeting slated for Scarborough on April 22

The Don Montgomery Community Recreation Centre is located at 2467 Eglinton Ave. in Scarborough.

The City of Toronto will be hosting a consultation meeting on expanding permissions in neighbourhoods for sixplexes citywide on Tuesday, April 22.

The meeting will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in room C of the Don Montgomery Recreation Centre (2467 Eglinton Ave. E.)

The meeting will share details from the “Ward 23 Six Unit Multiplex Pilot Study,” which received City Council approval in February 2025 to serve as a key deliverable under the City’s Housing Accelerator fund agreement with the federal government.

Although an in-person consultation meeting was held in Scarborough earlier this month, the April 22 gathering will give residents who could not attend the earlier meeting a chance to have their voices heard on this issue.

According to the Sixplex and Multiplex CCM notice, feedback from the public consultation will “Inform City staff’s recommendations to Planning and Housing Committee this year.”
