East End Children’s Centre to host Halloween Spookfest this Saturday

The East End Children’s Centre will be hosting a family friendly Halloween Spookfest celebration on Saturday, Oct. 24.

The Spookfest will take place at the centre’s Kimbourne EarlyON location in Kimbourne Park United Church, 200 Wolverleigh Blvd. in East York.

There will be two sessions of the Spookfest on Oct. 24. The first one is from 3:30 to 5 p.m.; and the second will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Cost is $20 for adults and free for children. Tickets are only available online.

Along with a “Not So Scary Haunted House”, the event will also feature snacks, prizes, a dance party, a silent auction and a virtual auction.

Spookfest will help raise funds for the East End Children’s Centre which is also celebrating 40 years of community service to local families in 2026.

The East End Children’s Centre provides free programs for children under the age of five and their caregivers. “We’re not a childcare centre. We provide play and family support,” pointed out Cathy Wright, manager of the East End Children’s Centre, in a note to Beach Metro Community News.
