Man, 69, seriously injured after being struck by driver of vehicle near Coxwell and Mortimer avenues

A 69-year-old man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries after being struck by the driver of a vehicle in East York last night.
The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Coxwell and Mortimer avenues area.
The driver remained on the scene, said police.
In a statement sent to Beach Metro Community News on the morning of Friday, Oct. 9, police said that upon investigation “officers did not identify any evidence to support criminal charges” in connection with the incident and that “neither speeding nor impairment” was a factor.
