Silent auction for ceramic dog at The Pegasus Shoppe set to start on Saturday
After many years of customers asking “How much is that doggie in the window?”, The Pegasus Shoppe on Kingston Road finally has an answer. Well, almost.
The shop’s much-loved ceramic dog is staying right where he is. But recently, his “brother” came home from his adventures after being donated to the shop.
Now, he’s ready for one more adventure: finding a forever home of his own.
The Pegasus Shoppe will hold a silent auction for its newest ceramic canine this month, when one lucky bidder will get to take him home.
Could you be the one to take this adventurous little fellow home?
From Oct. 3 to 16, residents will have a chance to place a bid to become the permanent owner. The bidding will start at $20.
Eager participants need to know that the auctions will open Saturday, Oct. 3, at 2 p.m., and close promptly on Friday, Oct. 16, at 4 p.m. Any bids placed before or after the time limit will not be counted.
To make the process more exciting and to promote community involvement, bids will only be accepted if placed in person within The Pegasus Shoppe, located at 931 Kingston Rd.
The Pegasus Shoppe is part of the Pegasus Community Project, a Beach-based non-profit organization that runs day programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
Proceeds from the silent auction for the ceramic dog will support Pegasus programs. The Pegasus Shoppe thanks everyone for taking part and wishes all bidders good luck.
