Man sought in number of alleged home break-ins, including Main and Danforth Area

Toronto police are requesting the public’s assistance identifying a man wanted in connection with a number of alleged daytime break-ins including an incident this weekend in the Main Street and Danforth Avenue area.

According to police, a man approached several homes in the middle of the day on Tuesday, Sept. 8, in the central Toronto area. The man allegedly broke in and stole items including jewelry and wine, said police.

On Saturday, Sept. 12, officers were called to the Main Street and Danforth Avenue area for a reported break-in at a home. According to police, a man knocked on the door of a house several times and then allegedly forced entry in the home, said police. The residents were not home at the time of the incident, and police alleged the man stole jewelry, wine and other small objects.

The suspect is described as approximately 50 to 60 years old, bald, with a grey moustache and a tattoo on his left forearm. He was last seen wearing black-framed glasses, a red long-sleeved shirt, black pants, a gold watch, and black running shoes with white soles.

Images of the suspect have been released by police in the hopes that someone can identify him.
