Suspect sought in theft investigation in the Coxwell and Gerrard area
Toronto police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to a theft that took place in East Toronto last week.
According to police, a man responded to a Facebook Marketplace advertisement, and met the victim in the Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street area. The suspect allegedly sprayed a noxious substance, and attempted to steal from the victim, before fleeing the area. All property was recovered at the scene, and there were no injuries.
The man is described as 18-years-old, six feet tall, with long curly hair. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black sweater.
