The Balmy Beach Rugby Club hosted its annual sand rugby tournament at Woodbine Beach on Sunday, July 12.
The tournament saw a number of teams from clubs in the southern Ontario take part, competing in both boys and girls matches in ages ranging from six to 12 years of age.
The games are played barefoot on the sand of the beach as opposed to on a grass field with cleats.
The tournament is a chance for Balmy Beach club highlight its programs for young players while also having a fun day on the beach and getting to meet with members of other clubs.
