This year’s East End Music Fest will take place this Saturday, Oct. 17, night at the East End Food Hub on Gerrard Street East.

Presented by the Applegrove community organization, this is the third year for the annual festival.

The festival celebrates not only music but also art and community. Performing on Saturday will be Maurice Gordon, with a tribute to Harry Belafonte and Jimmy Cliff; and Foster Motel, playing outlaw indie and folk rock.

Doors open for the festival at 7 p.m. The East End Food Hub is located in East End United Church’s Glen Rhodes Campus at 1470 Gerrard St. E., just west of Coxwell Avenue.

The festival is for an age 19-and-over audience as there will be drinks served along with food and a silent auction to raise funds for Applegrove.

Programs supported by Applegrove include the East End Food Hub, help for local seniors and community programs.
