Man, 30, charged in connection with alleged assault, threatening in East York

A 30-year-old man has been arrested and is facing charges in connection to an investigation into an alleged threatening that took place in East York last month.

According to police, officers responded to a call for a person with a knife in the Donlands Avenue and Mortimer Avenue area at approximately 2:22 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.

According to police, there was an alleged altercation between a man and the victim. A man then allegedly took out a knife, chased the victim and swung the knife at them. The man also threatened to harm or kill the victim’s pet, alleged police.

On Saturday, July 11, Zola Zenguele, 30, of Toronto was arrested and charged with breaking and entering, possessing a dangerous weapon, assault with a weapon and three counts of uttering threats.
