Man, 37, facing child sexual abuse and exploitation charges after police search residence in Woodbine and Danforth avenues area

A 37-year-old man is facing child sexual abuse and exploitation charges after Toronto police conducted a search warrant in the Woodbine and Danforth avenues area yesterday.
In a news release on Friday, March 20, Toronto police said members of the Internet Child Exploitation unit undertook an investigation with assistance from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office – Criminal Investigations Bureau in the United States.
Allegations that a man was in chats with an underage female and sent her a number of explicit images and videos were part of the investigation, said police.
Toronto police conducted the search warrant at a residence in the Woodbine and Danforth area on Thursday, March 19. Police alleged in today’s news release that a quantity of child sexual abuse material was located on devices seized in a residence as a result of that search.
Zachary Leveque-Wilson, 37, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with:
- Telecommunication with a Person under 18
- Telecommunication with a Person under 16
- Make Available Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material under 18
- Make Available Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material under 16
- Invitation to Sexual Touching
- three counts of Access Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Make Available Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- two counts of Possess Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material

In today’s news release, police said parents and caregivers are the frontline when it comes to protecting children on the internet and on electronic devices. “We encourage you to remain vigilant in your efforts,” said the news release.
