Toronto Beaches face do-or-die Game Seven in Ontario Junior Lacrosse League playoff run against Whitby tonight

After last night’s loss, the Toronto Beaches Junior A lacrosse team has one final chance to secure a spot in the Ontario Junior Lacrosse League (OJLL) championship Iroquois Cup finals.
The Beaches fell 10-7 to the Whitby Warriors in Game Six of their best-of-seven second round playoff series on Wednesday, July 30, at a game played at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre.
With the series now tied 3-3, the deciding Game Seven takes place tonight at 8 p.m. at the Pickering Recreation Complex at 1867 Valley Farm Dr.
The Beaches home playoff games are taking place in Pickering as the ice is now back in Ted Reeve Arena, which was the team’s regular season home.
Heading into last night’s game, the Beaches were up 3-2.
To clinch a spot at the OJLL Iroquois Cup finals, they will have to win Game Seven tonight against the Warriors.
If the Beaches win tonight, they will battle the Orangeville Northmen in the Iroquois Cup finals. The Northmen beat the Peterborough Lakers last night in their Game Six.
The winner of the Iroquois Cup (Ontario championship) will secure a spot at the Minto Cup (national championship), where four teams battle for the top spot in Canadian Junior A lacrosse.
