Suspect sought in connection with alleged armed robberies in East York

Toronto police are seeking the public’s help identifying a man wanted in connection with a alleged robberies in East York last week.

Police said the incidents happened in the Dawes Road and Chapman Avenue area sometime between 7:20 and 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 8.

According to police, a man approached people who were walking in that area, then allegedly brandished a knife and demanded cash from the victims. The suspect then fled on foot. None of the victims sustained any injuries, police said.

The suspect is described as being in his 20s, six-feet tall, with a thin build, and wearing a black/brown hoodie with the hood up, a black ski mask, and a black backpack.

Police have released images of the suspect in the hope that someone can identify him.
