Cosmic Chess Fest set for this Sunday at the Beaches Recreation Centre

The Beaches Chess Club is set to host a Cosmic Chess Fest this weekend.

The event is inspired by the International Day of Human Space Flight, which is celebrated on April 12.

In honour of that event, the Beaches Chess Club be following a space theme when it holds the Cosmic Chess Fest on Sunday, April 13.

The festival will take place at the Beaches Recreation Centre, 6 Williamson Rd., from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Those interested in taking part are asked to please send an email to beacheschessclub@gmail.com before Sunday afternoon, so the organizers will know how many tables and chairs they need to set up.
