Toronto Food Truck Festival set for Woodbine Park over the August long weekend
The Toronto Food Truck Festival will be taking place once again in Woodbine Park this August long weekend.
This year’s festival goes from Friday, Aug. 2, through to Monday, Aug. 5, as Toronto celebrates the Simcoe Day long weekend.
The festival will feature a variety of live music performances throughout the event, food from between 30 to 50 of the top food trucks in the province, activities for children, and even a chance to participate in live-eating challenges.
Vegetarian, halal, vegan, and gluten-free food trucks will be among the participating vendors at the festival. The festival is also licenced for alcohol service.
Woodbine Park is located at 1695 Queen St. E., northeast of Lower Coxwell Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard East.
Admission to the food truck festival is free. Here are all the details on the performances taking place at the festival this weekend:
Friday, Aug. 2
The Toronto Food Truck Festival opens at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, with the fun continuing until 10 p.m.
The Crooked Zebras will take the stage at Woodbine Park to perform starting at 5:30 p.m. They will be followed by an eating challenge event at 6 p.m.
The Hip Experience (a tribute to the Tragically Hip) will perform at 8 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 3
The festival takes place from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.
An eating challenge will be on stage at 2:15 p.m.; followed by Double the Pleasure performing at 2:30 p.m.; and Haddix at 5 p.m.
There will be another eating challenge on stage at 6 p.m. The band Reckless Bryan (a tribute to Bryan Adams) performs at 8 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 4
The festival runs from noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4.
There will be an eating challenge at 1 p.m. on the stage, and then the musical entertainment begins.
Kendra Gabrielle performs at 2 p.m.; followed by the Crooked Zebras at 4:30 p.m.
There’s another eating challenge at 6:40 p.m.; and the band Pearl Jamming (a tribute to Pearl Jam) performs starting at 7 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 5
The festival runs from noon to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5.
There will be an eating challenge on stage at 2:15 p.m.; followed by a performance from Haddix at 2:30 p.m.
Another eating challenge is set for 5:45 p.m.; and then Monkey Wrench (a tribute to the Foo Fighters) will perform starting at 6 p.m.
