
A 61-year-old man has died as a result of being struck by a vehicle in East York last week.
On Thursday, April 13, at about 6 a.m. the man was standing behind a parked Subaru Imprezza on the westbound side of Doncaster Avenue near Main Street, when police said another man driving an eastbound Honda Accord struck the parked vehicle. The parked Subaru then struck the man who standing behind it, police said.
The man who was struck was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and police have reported that the man died on Sunday, April 16.
The driver of the Honda remained at the scene.
The man who died is Toronto’s seventh traffic fatality of 2023.
Police are asking local residents, business and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage and were in the area of Doncaster Avenue and Main Street between the hours of 5:50 a.m. to 6 a.m. on April 13 to contact the Traffic Services unit at 416-808-1900..
