On Kingston Rd., just west of Birchmount, there’s a new decor store in town, Luxe Home Décor. It’s a beautiful shop, with small furnishings, seasonal trends, kitchenware, storage solutions, bath accessories, entertaining pieces, art, gifts and more.
This shop doesn’t simply carry the typical pretty pieces, it’s a curated space of style and utility – housewares and decor pieces that are designed for real life and built to last. There are plenty of solutions for small space living, ideal for neighbourhood condos, with consideration for smart storage, stackable items and right-shaped pieces made to fit and work. It’s also a friendly, fun store to visit, with none of the pretension and all of the indulgence.
The style savvy behind Luxe Home Décor, owner Caroline Pius is lovely to chat with and a fantastic help for discovering that perfect piece. Bringing her decades of experience as a buyer for some of Canada’s retail giants and department stores, Caroline has a wealth of knowledge on brands that stand up to the challenge of years of use, and an incredible knowledge of specialized brands from around the world. All this with the charm and personalized customer service only a neigbhourhood shop can offer.
In Luxe Home Décor, you’ll discover well-loved brands like Cuisinart, Breville, Umbra, Salt and Joseph Joseph, unique products by Ireland’s Ulster Weaver and Italy’s Via Mercato artisanal soap.
This is also the Canadian exclusive distribution for UK brand Baker & Salt, with exclusive products for laundry and storage organization.
In September a collection of scents and lamps from French Fragrance house Maison Berger (Lampe Berger) will arrive. The featured
collection is a collaboration with famed fashion and fragrance designer Lolita Lempicka.
Caroline has thought of it all.
Parents with back-to-school on the brain will appreciate the selection of lunch-packing options and kids will enjoy child-sized kitchen tools that allow them to work alongside mom and dad.
From sophisticated to playful, there are options for every style. Countertop odour-free compost bins with a carbon filter by Joseph and Joseph look slick on the most elegant kitchen countertop while the “Get Naked” bath mat offers whimsical shower power.
The wall of kitchen gadgets will not disappoint the most gadget-happy shopper, while kitchenware—from cutting boards to coffee to cookware—makes it easy for you to find the ideal pieces. You’ll find hard anodized pots, enamel-coated cast-iron Dutch ovens and even three-ply cookware that works on induction, plus a variety of bakeware—all so pretty that you’ll want to display it as much as use it. And then there’s the art, locally sourced, original and exquisite, as well as small furnishings for your home and patio or balcony, laundry needs, glassware and tableware for both entertaining and every-day use.
Decor isn’t just about style—it’s about making your home comfortable, functional and livable. Good decor brings this all together, achieving the perfect combination of style, function and personal expression. Caroline has created and curated Luxe Home Décor with that in mind. Stop by and find some Luxe for your home. Chat, peruse, be inspired—Caroline’s got great advice and suggestions for all of your decor needs, as well as the tip for an après-shopping cocktail or bite across the street at The Kingston Social!
