Police at 55 Division are warning the public after a sex assault took place in Monarch Park, southwest of Coxwell and Danforth Avenues.

On Nov. 30 at 6:45 a.m., a woman reported that she was jogging in the park, when a man approached her from behind and assaulted her. The woman screamed, and the man fled eastbound.

The suspect is described as being 5’10” to 6’, with a medium build, and was wearing a black goose down bomber-style jacket with fur around the hood, and dark pants.

Another sexual assault occurred shortly after midnight on Dec. 9, near Kingston Road and Bingham Avenue.

A 20-year-old woman was walking in the area when she was assaulted by three males who approached her from behind. She was able to fight off her attackers, who fled southbound on foot. The victim did not require medical attention.

The first suspect is described as a 6-foot white male in his twenties, wearing a black bomber-style jacket with a fur collar, a grey balaclava, dark jeans and gloves. The second is described as a 6-foot white male in his early twenties, wearing a waist-length brown leather jacket and a dark balaclava. The third suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, about 5’9”, wearing a dark balaclava and possibly a red jacket.
