With a ‘for lease’ sign in the front window and workers inside prepping walls for paint, I guess it’s safe to say that this was the end of line for Tony’s Fruit Market. In 1982,  Ends Clothing set up shop and hasn’t looked back since. Happy 30th  Harold! Do you have an old photo of the Beach you’d like to share? Please call me at 416-390-2527.

I fondly remember Tony’s store at Queen and Elmer. My grandmother lived on Elmer for 50 years, and every Sunday when my brother and I visited, she’d give us $.25 to go down to Tony’s and fill up a small brown bag of penny candies! Such great memories. Thanks for sharing this photo!
