Not long ago, Beachers could pull up in front of this Becker’s (located at the corner of Queen and Leuty), leisurely walk in to purchase a jug of 2% milk and never have the slightest worry about getting pinched by parking enforcement officers – thanks to a parking space at the rear. This photograph was taken in 1974. Becker’s has long since left and the building has been totally renovated – first to be a martini bar, then office space. Now it is up for sale. What it will be in the future is anybody’s guess.
