Memory and Aging: What’s Normal, What’s Not, and What You Can Do About It

Psychologist Dr. Nicole Anderson discusses various kinds of cognitive function changes as a part of healthy aging, and provides examples of normal memory slips…and not-so-normal memory slips!

This presentation discusses factors affecting cognition, including medical factors and everyday lifestyle factors, and goes on to provide a number of memory strategies that everyone can use to make their memory function better.

Dr. Anderson is the Senior Scientist at the Rotman Research Institute (Baycrest) and Professor, Psychology and Psychiatry (University of Toronto). She is the author of Living with Mild Cognitive Impairment: A Guide to Maximizing Brain Health and Reducing Risk of Dementia. Drop-in, no registration required.
