Theatre of the Beat’s MADGEN Theatre Festival is a 3-day new play festival located in Toronto’s East Danforth neighbourhood. This year’s program presents four Canadian plays: PEACHES by Elio Zarrillo; Uprooted by Kabrena Robinson; Problematic History Teacher by MJ Kang; and I Have a Dream in Chinese by Irene Yi – each exploring personhood through intimate narratives that centre personal identity in the Canadian context.
