In Solidarity with Land Defenders in the Amazon

Please join Canadian Jesuits International (CJI) for a first-person account and film night in solidarity with land defenders in Latin America.

Come hear Indigenous land defender Laura Vicuña Pereira Manso speak about her experiences in the Karipuna Indigenous territory in the Amazon, where she works with Brazil’s Indigenous people who have been fighting to protect their land for generations.

The evening includes an exclusive Canadian screening of The Illusion of Abundance, a film about three extraordinarily brave women who fought to defend their land against exploitation and extractivism in Latin America.
