Rideshare driver charged after alleged sexual assault in East Toronto

A Brampton man is facing charges in connection with an alleged sexual assault that took place last weekend in East Toronto.
On Sunday, June 28, at approximately 1:19 p.m. officers responded to a call for sexual assault in the Danforth Avenue and Broadview Avenue area.
According to police, the victim requested a ride through a car share app. A man picked up the victim and drove her to her destination. Before exiting the vehicle, police alleged a man sexually assaulted the victim.
In a news release on Wednesday, July 1, police said Nathaniel Ezema, 48, of Brampton, has been arrested and charged with sexual assault.
