Russell deCarle and Steve Briggs team up for Acoustic Harvest concert on Saturday, April 18

This Saturday’s (April 18) concert in southwest Scarborough will feature Russell deCarle and Steve Briggs, with an opening set by Jason LaPrade.

Russell deCarle of Prairie Oyster and Steve Briggs of the Riverdale Share band will be performing at the Acoustic Harvest concert this Saturday, April 18.

Originally, The Laws had been scheduled to perform but they had to cancel due to illness.

However, deCarle and Briggs have taken up their guitars for the April 18 show which will also feature an opening set by Jason LaPrade.

DeCarle, inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008, has been lead singer and bassist with Prairie Oyster for decades and is the winner of six JUNO awards and more than a dozen Canadian Country Music Awards.

Briggs, who runs Kitchen Music Studio in Riverdale with partner Kristin, is a renowned guitarist and member of the Bebop Cowboys.

Saturday’s Acoustic Harvest concert will take place at St. Paul’s United Church (200 McIntosh St., Scarborough) starting at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door.
