Light It Up Parade & Celebration

Light It Up is a free, fun, family-friendly program that invites folks to make their own homemade lantern and join a community parade to mark the Spring Equinox! It’s about celebrating the resilience and love that got us through the dark of another long, cold winter by creating and sharing art and light with community! Presented by East End Arts, Shadowland Theatre, and Workman Arts, this is our sixth season of this program.

Come join us on Saturday March 21, 2026, 6:30-8:30PM in Riverdale Park East for our Light It Up Lantern Celebration & Parade Day! Bring your own lanterns and join our community parade around the park! There will be live music, complementary hot chocolate, a community fire, and magic and joy. Hope to see you there!
