Man, 53, facing charges after Parking Enforcement Officer allegedly assaulted near Pape and Westwood avenues

A 53-year-old man is facing charges after a Toronto Parking Enforcement Officer was allegedly assaulted and threatened in the Pape and Westwood avenues area last Saturday.

According to police, officers were called to the area on Jan. 31 for the reported incident.

Police alleged a man parked his vehicle on a roadway and a Parking Enforcement Officer (PEO) issued a ticket. The man then allegedly threatened and assaulted the PEO, police said.

The PEO left the area and was allegedly followed by the man. Police arrived and arrested a man.

Police said the PEO was not injured in the incident.

Junior Frederick Peltier, 53, of Toronto, has been charged with uttering threats/death, and assaulting a peace officer.
