Hurricane Melissa relief donation drives set for Neil McNeil Catholic High School and Danforth C.T.I. on Wednesday

East Toronto residents are invited to drop off donations locally tomorrow to help those impacted by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.
The Toronto Police Black Internal Support Network, in partnership with the Jamaican Canadian Association, supported by the Toronto Fire Services Black Staff Network and Toronto Paramedic Services Black Staff Network, will be hosting a one-day donation drive on Wednesday, Dec. 17, at a number of local schools.
The aim of the drive is to fill a police cruiser and an ambulance with donations of essential items.
For local residents, a police cruiser and ambulance will be at Neil McNeil Catholic High School, 127 Victoria Park Ave., from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and at Danforth Collegiate and Technical Institute, 800 Greenwood Ave., from noon to 1 p.m. to collect donations.
A drive for donations will also be taking place tomorrow at Don Mills Middle School, 17 The Donway East, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Donations most needed to help those impacted by the hurricane, which hit Jamaica in late October, are non-perishable food items, bottled water, infant formula, cleaning solutions, feminine hygiene products, first aid kits, towels, washcloths, linens, soap and toothpaste, buckets, batteries, flashlights and small tools.
