Beach Guild of Fine Art Fall Show opens this evening at Beach United Church

The Beach Guild of Fine Art Fall Show begins this evening (Friday, Nov. 14) at Beach United Church.
The show continues during the day this Saturday, Nov. 15, and Sunday, Nov. 16.
The Beach Guild of Fine Art (BGFA) was founded in 1994 by a group of Beach artists with a mandate to support each other and to promote and encourage the appreciation of art in the community. They have since grown to 65 members.
This year’s show will feature the works of more than 30 artists, ranging from original paintings to fine art pieces.
The main gallery will have up to four pieces from participating artists with prices starting at $200. The Boutique will showcase smaller paintings, prints, note cards, and painted giftware priced at less than $200.
Along with the show at Beach United Church, the IDA Henley Gardens Pharmacy in Henley Gardens plaza, on Kingston Road just east of Victoria Park Avenue, will also be showcasing the works of Guild artists until Nov. 16.
The opening reception for the fall show takes place at Beach United Church, 140 Wineva Ave. at 5 p.m. today. The show will continue until 8 p.m. today.
On Saturday and Sunday, show hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the show is free, and attendees can fill out a ballot for a chance to win a painting by a BGFA member.
Along with highlighting local artists, the BGFA fall show is a holiday tradition in the Beach community and a place where many residents look to buy the “perfect” Christmas gifts.
