Party On Beachers! Wayne’s World to be screened tonight as part of outdoor movie series at Kew Gardens

Local residents are invited to Party On! tonight (Wednesday, Aug. 20) as The Beach BIA screens the movie Wayne’s World at Kew Gardens park.

The movie is the scheduled finale to The Beach BIA’s outdoor summer movie series in Kew Gardens.

Tonight’s screening of Wayne’s World was originally slated for July 9 but had to be postponed due to rain.

Wayne’s World, the 1992 comedy inspired and written by Scarborough’s own Mike Myers, will be shown starting at dusk tonight and everyone is welcome to put on their best black T-shirt and baseball cap and enjoy the movie.

Kew Gardens is located at 2075 Queen St. E.

Those attending the outdoor movie night are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for sitting on.

There will also be music, lawn games and snacks at the outdoor movie nights. Residents are encouraged to visit one of the great restaurants along Queen Street East for a meal before coming over to the park to watch the movie. Those with receipts from a local business can enter a raffle for prizes.

In the event of bad weather tonight, a rain date of Aug. 27 has been set.
